The Emmorton Barracudas Swim Team is a competitive summer program open to swimmers age 5 to 18 years old (as of 6/1/2024) regardless of previous swim team experience. Swimmers should be able to swim one length of a 25-yard pool without help. The team competes in the Harford Swim League. Meets are held Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings from early-June through mid-July at pools around the county. Practices are held after school, until the end of school, and then mornings throughout the season. Our home pool is the Riverside Community Pool, Belcamp.

Registration – $120
Additional swimmers in the same family: second swimmer, $110, third swimmer, $100.
All swimmers will receive a team shirt and cap with registration.
The team “uniform” is a black race suit of the swimmer’s choosing. Boys may wear a jammer or bikini style, and girls should select a 1-piece, fitted suit.

Meets are held Wednesday evenings at 6pm and Saturday mornings at 8am. Meets are held at pools around the county; see the meet schedule. Swimmers may compete in up to 4 events at each meet; generally a mix of individual and relay events. Coaches will enter the swimmers in advance and distribute a “psych” sheet or heat sheet showing which event(s) a swimmer will swim.
Warm-ups begin 30-60 minutes before meet time, depending on the pool. Please be prompt; arrive at least15 minutes before warm-ups (which are 30-60 minutes prior to meet start). Saturday meets start at 8:00 am and Wednesday meets start at 6:00 pm.
